Ray Bradbury: Was born on August 22,1920 in Waukegan, Illinois. Not only a writer of science fiction he also writes fantasy, horror and mystery. But the novel that he is best known for is Fahrenheit 451. He is one of the most celebrated authors in the 20th and 21st century American writers. Many of his novels have become book turned movies. His favorite author of his childhood was Edgar Rice Burroughs who is known for classics such as Tarzan and Warlords of Mars. He graduated for Los Angeles High School and spent most of his time in UCLA's Powell Library. While here he spent his time in a study room with a rented typewriter. Here he began the classic story of Fahrenheit 451.
